normal sex drive for 21 year old male?

I am a 21 year old male and I have recently been having some concerns regarding my sexuality. I am still a virgin, both because I am shy and as I want wait for the right woman, rather than going out purely to get laid. I masturbate regularly (generally once a day, occasionally twice), and used to regularly look at porn, generally most of the times that I masturbated. I recently read some information about sex addiction, and now it has made me scared. I find myself obsessing now about whether my sexual behaviour is normal and how it will effect future relationships, as some of the things that the articles say are quite scary. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

For those of you who have made the transition from single to being in a relationship, how hard is it to give up porn once you are getting real sex?

Well, you're right, it can become an addiction and/or compulsion but it varies with people.

Who says you have to give up porn to be in a relationship? When I was in my last relationship (which ended about 2 weeks ago) I still watched porn regularly. Even though most of the time I had sex often I still watched the movies.

By the way, wouldn't it make sense to naturally rid yourself of porn if the sex you're getting is good enough? Addictions are replaced, which is why people will eat a lot or hit up sunflower seeds when they stop smoking.

I wouldn't worry about it being an addiction--typically people with these compulsions will masturbate until there is no more semen--at all. It gets very extreme. But even jacking off 5 times in a day isn't really that bad--I used to do it.

Granted porn can become an addiction, unless it's taking over your life you ahve nothign to worry about. Whent hat time comes that you do get into a relationship, your not going to be adjusting your whole life...your going to be combinign it with someone else. That's give and take on both sides. I wouldn't worry too much about this now....And just go with the flow of things...You can't project what will happen in the future nor should you try to give something up you like for someone who isn't there yet..unless it's a problem for you now!

Just start downloading bad porn and you eventually give up because you get enough of this shit. I have also red that regurally masturbating, without getting laid and watching too much quality porn causes shyness and introvert personality. There may be point in it since our communication is partly led by sexual instinct also. If you please yourself too much without any psychological effort, you may lose interest in sexual type of things that need some sort of effort, like dealing with feminine. Try giving up masturbating and see if things change. But don't take this too seriously since that is just a theory.

You should not be worried about having a sex addiction at all.. In fact I would consider myself lucky if I were you, at least you can get yours to stand. Im 3 years younger, and am fairly sure i already need viagra. .....

You hit it on the nail right there. Increase your game by not masturbating and doing more physical activities. Go outside a lot. You gotta be happy with yourself before anyone else can be happy with you (i.e. a girl).
