why has he gone quiet and what can i do?

So since i had the "what are we talk", which seemed to go okay.
He still stayed the night (although it was late) but left earlier than normal the next day.
He isnt contacting me as much anymore and i dont understand.

Fair enough he may be.processing it all. But what can i do?
Is he pulling away and creating distance between us to try and stop it without him having to say so?

I would usually see him tomorrow, so ill have to wait. I have a very funny feeling he isnt going to arrange it.

Oh what can i do, and what do you think is happening?

How long have you been seeing each other? How often do you see each other?

A few months and see each other 2-3 times a week. We have been in a long term relationship a few year ago and have a child together.

I think im just being stupid and panicking.
Ive just stepped back and letting him do the contacting. He always was first to initiate, but since the talk its been very little.
Im just going to continue stepping back, for my own feelings more than anything else.

You waited 2 months before asking that? You should have laid out your expectations before you started sleeping together again. It's very possible he had no intention of it becoming serious.

And as I said in my initial advice, if you asking him for clarity scares him off.....then he had no intention of having something serious with you anyway.

There's nothing you can do other than to enforce your own boundaries. If you want a relationship, don't give him FWB.

That is really difficult considering i like him so much. But i will try.
As for contact, he made up for it with a few hour long conversation and arranged the plans i thought he would cancel.

I had told him at the start that i wont be doing this if it is just for sex as i would get emotionally involved, so its not the first time i have mentioned it.
