Need advice other than family..Help!

Hi there, been awhile since ive been on this site. OK here is the situation. I live in a border town ( US-Mex) I met an awesome
girl from Mexico. She is smart and caring, and I have no reason to think otherwise. My problem is my family believes she is only
using me to get into the US and then take advantage of me. Also, I will not cross over to the Mexican side on the fear that Ill get kidnapped or worse killed. The police and military are the cartels, there is no where safe in that country. I have a fear of committing
because of the constant harassment I get from my family. I hear things like, she has kids already and not telling me. She is already
married, and just wants a greencard, etc...

I am so confused, I like the girl, but Im starting to have second thoughts.
I hate to break up with someone just based on demographics. I have talken to tons of freinds and family, but I REALLY NEED A
OUTSIDE PERSPECTIVE. The other thing I should mention is she wants to get married. I really wish she would not bring that up because it only adds fuel to the fire.
