Not sure this belongs here...

...but I wasn't sure where else to put it. I'll get down to the quick of it. I am now single. As some of you know me and my (now ex-) girlfriend have been having troubles for a while now, some of which I have posted for advice about on these very forums (or have monitored the topics of people with similar problems). I fought and fought for our relationship but it seems like she didn't care. She kept asking for "time to think about things" but no matter how long I gave her, it was always "I need more time" but as far as I could tell she was doing very little actual thinking (most just chatting on the phone with this bloke she has become infatuated with).

I think it was that infatuation that pushed me over the edge and made me end it. She clearly wasn't willing to to put any effort into our relationship because she had become so infatuated with him. He is an old friend. Nothing ever happened between them but I get the feeling that it would have if circumstances allowed. He was in a car accident which paralysed him from the neck down and they didn't see nor hear of each other for 12 years. Then he found her on facebook. And they have been talking practically 24/7 ever since. Even while we were having troubles she wouldn't curtail her phone time, and she even went to stay with him for a few days. It was then I guess I realised we had no future, because here I was fighting, and all she wanted to do go see him. She told me that he and his (now separated) wife had not had sex in the 12 years since the accident, but later she also told me she had found Viagra in his draw (well a suped-up version for paralysed people) which was dated from the month after they began to start talking. No prizes for drawing the right conclusions there.

I had just had enough, I told her I was moving out and that was that. All she had to say was "okay". Hate is a strong word, but I feel something very close to that right now, and it's aimed at her. She's away at the moment with him (less that a few days after we broke up) and she will be gone for, and I quote "more than a week".

There is more to the story, but I don't want to turn this into a rant.
