I wanted to get the male feed back here. In general, if you were interested in a girl and her dog slept in bed with her (and she insisted this was something that would not change regardless), would this be a turn off or a turn on to you?

For me personally, it would all depend on the dog and how s/he acts in the bed. If the dog is small, and is quiet, I personally wouldn't find a problem. I think animals sleeping with owners is pretty cool (as in, they sleep on the bed :P). I don't think it would be a turn off, but it wouldn't be a turn on. It's up to you man.
I couldn't be with a girl that gave me the impression she was more interested in f*cking her dog than me.
My roommate had a girlfriend that baby talked her dog, and was always telling stories about the dumb dog.

yeah, I don't think I'd mind the dog on the bed, in itself. But just that whole dog-pampering schtick, would get on my nerves.
Mind you the girl I'm seeing at the moment is pretty obsessed with her dog. But it's a cool dog, so I don't mind.

i think the thing is it when the dogs comfort comes before the human's comfort... that is the problem...
It also depends on the kind of dog. Although Samoyeds are beautiful and one of my favorite types, their perpetually exposed anus might smear the sheets, and that would be a problem
i would choose my dogs over an non-approving man any day.
