is it true that guys search for girls that's like their mother?
no, they don't. but when they find girls they compare their traits with that to their mothers.
it would be weird to go out looking for a girl like your mum.
my bf has traits similar to my dad, but overall their totally different
I think if a person has a good relationship with their opposite-sex parent, they DO (subconsciously) seek out a person who is similar. After all, on a very primitive level, their opposite-sex parent embodies all the things associated with love, comfort, acceptance and security. Who doesn't want that? (Male OR female, BTW.)
On the other hand, if a person lacks a healthy relationship with their opposite-sex parent, they either consciously avoid people like their parent, or they unconsciously are attracted to them because they want to create the bond they lacked with their parent.

Or...
They become a serial killer and target women who look like "Mommy" and ultimately end up on American Justice during my lunch break every day.
Absolutely not; don't get me wrong, my mother is a wonderful woman, but there's nothing the least bit attractive about her, nor does she have ANY traits that i'd want from a girl, AND she has many traits I wouldn't want in a girl.. but she's my mother, so it's fine, but if it was someone else, we would never get along, ever..Quote:

I think you can even go as far as to say that I look for some exteme opposite of my mother.. If someone reminds me of my mother (especially personality-wise) it's an automatic deal-breaker..
Well if it's true that people seek out someone like their mother, it would make sense I haven't had a girlfriend yet. Nobody is anywhere near good enough as my mom
I know I always end up with guys who end up reminding me of my father, no matter how much I try to avoid it.
Also, my ex boyfriend's mother is a teacher, and all of his exes have since become teachers, including me.
Coincidence?
I think I sought out things that I would've liked to have found in my mother.
Not like their mother per se. Guys don't look for their mothers in other women. But personally I realize that my previous partners although looked nothing like my mum, still shared qualities and personality trait similarities similar to hers.Quote:

It makes sense, parents form beginning of our intimacy, they show us what the caring is and how it's done. Through years we learn to bond with that attitude and it's only natural that we start to seek these types of qualities in other people. But in the end it will also come down to how well the person had bonded to their parents. If they bonded well, they will seek similarities in others. If they didn't bond well and had problems, they might seek out the opposite.
ultimately all men want to suck on women's breast. it brings back childhood memories. as for women, i dunno what happened in this situation.
raverboy
I sucked on my girlfriend's breasts last night.
Did you say, "Ay mami!" while you were doing it?
Freud once theorized that every male subconsciously wants to sleep with their mother.
In my case, I am searching for someone the LEAST bit like my mom there is.
Maybe you're an Oedipus incarnate, what's it matter? If you like said girl, go for her, just make sure she doesn't have your mom's name as well.
(OH GOD...)
i avoid people like my father. i go for the exact opposite.
this is the reason as to why you're having so many wet dreams... too much built up pressure.Quote:
