Aha! A compromise on the ring!

So I was sitting here stressing again how to work around this whole ring thing. I want to propose to her, but I just couldn't figure out a good way to go about it without a ring. I mean, I know there doesn't need to be an engagement ring, but I know she likes tradition while being very practical.

So I got to thinking maybe later we could shop for wedding bands, and forgo the whole engagement ring. They'd probably be something low key, simple, and affordable.

That's not unreasonable is it?

steal one of her rings and take it to a jeweler. if she's really practical she'd be happy with just a gold band maybe 12k.
make sure the ring fits on her ring finger though.

She doesn't own any rings.

get her drunk, and when she passes out, take measurements of her ring finger.
if she doesn't drink, give her a roofies on the rocks with water. she wont know what hitter.

Fras, if she doesn't wear rings now, what makes you think that she is going to appreciate an engagement ring? just go for the bands.

She doesn't even wear earrings.

And wedding bands are a hell of a lot more affordable than 1 stupid engagement ring.
