Can anyone here give me some concrete insight into why folks who are sexually abused early on, seem to choose the sex industry as a "job"?
It would seem to me that people with that tainted background would want to stay away from sex in such non affectionate ways...
I really dont know and am curious as to what the connection is...anyone?:upset:
They get sex all tangled up and confused. Some of them equate sex with love and become sex addicts, some of them have an emotional callus there and find that they're able to dispassionately do things for money that would be appalling to other people.
Your childhood keeps popping up all over the place until you deal with your issues. You'd think you could just leave it behind, but you really can't.
I feel for you, Ziff. I really do.
Although the maority of sex-workers may be victims of sex abuse, I don't think the majority of sexually abused people DO flock to the sex industry.

For me it's a gradual process. Kind of like weening myself off of some vice. I wish they could invent an anti love patch specifically for broken hearted people.
I think one of our posters was working on the idea once, but he hasn't been around lately.
