Not sure how to deal with this one...

It hasnt happened yet but something my friend said got me thinking...

How to deal with a scenario where someone makes the assumption that my bf is my sons father...Do i quickly correct it? Just let it pass by? what? I'm talking about mainly people we dont know that make conversation etc.

Looking at it, it seems trivial, but I dont want to offend my bf either way and i imagine it could be quite awkward depending on what is said etc.

Ask your boyfriend straight up how he would want you to address that. I had this conversation with my husband when we first started dating and he said he's prefer to handle it himself. He usually just gently mentions that he's her stepdad and the conversation keeps flowing along. It's so normal, you know? It doesn't have to be awkward.
