Is this a good sign?

I've been friends with this guy for a few months now, and recently our relationship has shifted into something more.

He's invited me to accompany him on a weekend away at the beach, just the two of us. I have told him that I'm not ready to have sex with him yet because it's too soon, and he says he's okay with that - he'll be happy just to get a goodnight's kiss from me.

Does he sound like he genuinely likes me, or could this weekend getaway be a way of trying to get into my pants. Do guys who are only after one thing normally go to the trouble of taking girls away on weekend vacations?

I think getting into your pants will be on the agenda. Expect a few of "testing the waters" types of interaction. Though, he might be happy with the second base.

The answer is, he could genuinely like you or just trying to get into your pants. You will find out when you say you are not ready when you are in a secluded location with him. There are no answers unless you take the risk.

It's always a possibility. The opportunity will be there, he isn't sure if you're playing hard to get or not. If he really likes you, you'll be able to tell. Sex won't really change that. Have you gone and done other date like things without him "trying?"

I don't know of many guys who DON'T want to get laid, however, you say he is also a good friend. It's very possible that he has more respect for you than that just 'get into your pants'.

If you're not ready to have sex with him, it's too soon for a weekend getaway together. You're sending a mixed message.
