keeping the peace.

I was hoping to get my own place by getting rent allowance to help me cope because I am on disability allowance but they won't give it to me because I am currently living at home with my family 2 miles from town.

I was told that when I move out of my family house and into rental accommodation, they have to give me rent allowance. I was told by an welfare
officer who deals with my area where I was born that I should get rent allowance because I am 24 and should be living away from home.

I have decided to get shared accommodation because it would be cheaper and because the housing council have refused to put my name on the housing list which is necessary to obtain rent allowance and she asked me to live in a homeless hostel, show proof that I am living there and then we can put your name on the housing list. A boy who lives near me got rent allowance no problem and has moved away from home in the same county he lived in and Mum older sister got rent allowance in 2008 as well when she was living in town. I can't ask my older sister because she is not well mentally and disapproves of many things I do.

Any ideas on how to get 50 or 60-94 weekly rent and get rent allowance???

The rent must be 60-94 single or 50 weekly sharing in order to get rent allowance.

When I moved into shared accommodation how do I get to make my own meals when there are other people cooking in the kitchen or getting breakfast etc. at the same time as me.....

How do I cope with other people's germs touching stuff including the tap??? some people use the hand they hold the tissue they wipe their genitals and bum with to turn on the top, whereas I use the opposite hand to turn on the top or else, I sit down, turn on the tap or taps, clean myself , get up and put my hands under the warm water, scrub my hands well with soap and water, dry my hands and turn off the tap or taps. I hear that soap gets rid of Also of germs.

I can't stand people putting their fingers into glasses and mugs and utensils when they are washing the dishes and use the tea towel which is used to dry dishes to dry down the table as well.

Also, before I move out, how do I get to have my healthy meals using my own dishes and saucepans and frying pan when my mother or family are having dinner at the same time and put dishes including saucepans etc down to the dog to eat from but I don't like that and have expressed myself many times but have been told by my family that I am sill and my mother has asked me to stop with the co motion.....

I broke my friendship with the Colm 33 year old who I met in September 2009. He is really upset and feels like I should tell him if I am angry with him and so on because it is not fair he said. I text him how I felt and he text back I thought we were friends so I replied "we were but I don't want a friend who acts like that. It does make me feel uncomfortable, weak and unhappy.

I hope there is a way around this......
