Ex said we are not getting back together but he still calls me

I need a man perspective on this. Im still inlove with my ex but we broke up in March this year. He has a girlfriend. I poured my heart out to him and told him how I felt. He knows how much I want to get back with him. I asked him why we cant get back together. He said he lost the love because of all the bs. Well after we talked for about 5 hours on the phone. He still calls me. Not every day but he still calls me. He even picked me up from the airport after that.

My problem is that I dont really believe it is over between us. He is very nice to me. He calls me and I call him. We have not had sex. We have not seen each other for a while either. We are just friendly and flirty but not too flirty.

I notice that his new girlfriend is on facebook and friends with his friends and some family. It is eating me alive right now.

I just dont want to give up on him because I dont really believe it is over. He has changed his mind in the past and I just feel he might change his mind again since we talked to each other.

I just dont know what to do. He just doesnt really seem like he really doesnt want to be together anymore. We have had a up and down relationship for about 2 years so Im not surprised he has someone else now.

Guys help me get my man back. I love him with all my heart...pls help me

Really? Then why isn't he with you? Explain that.

I mean, not to sound INSENSITIVE, but think about it...

You two are broken up.
He has a new girl.
He's TOLD you why you two can't be together.
He's still with that new girl.
That new girl is friends with both HIS friends, AND FAMILY.
He's STILL not with you.

Where, in your mind, do you get that "it's not over" between you two?

Because he's NICE? Because he's FRIENDLY? That doesn't matter.

Until he BREAKS UP WITH HER and says "I NEED YOU BACK", you two are over.

Unfortunately, YOU'RE the only one who doesn't REALIZE it yet.

I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but it DOES sound like it's over. I think NBT spells it out quite succinctly. If the facebook stuff is driving you nuts, you should probably make the move and delete him. It was an up and down 2 year relationship. It seems that he's moving on. By holding on you're really only hurting yourself. Start fresh and have a break from the drama of your ex. There are a lot of great people in the world. You're sure to click with more than just one of them!

Have you ever thought that he might just be keeping you around as a backup?
