Advice for a friend
I'm sort of seeking advice for a friend of mine. She is ready to have sex with her boyfriend of a couple months. It's her first time. They've done stuff close to sex, but no actual penetration.
They've discussed it, and they think that they're ready. She's a couple years younger than he is, and he will be going off to college next year. But she thinks that they're ready. I think that she is unsure. It's just the way that she has talked to me about it. She has a close friend that thinks she should wait. I can't say I disagree, but I love the girl - platonically. I don't want her to do something that she will end up regretting, but I don't know what to say to her. She is 15, almost 16.

she's only 15? how about the guy?
shes so young! wasn't she being pressured by the bf?!

Have them stay away from sex as much as they can. They are biologically ready, of course; but they don't know too many things to engage in that safely.

I would ask her if she really wants her first time to be with someone she's only dated a few months, and who's going to ship off to college soon and leave her alone. She's too young IMO.
I would tell her that she should save the first time for someone really special, that's she's dated for awhile and really means something to her. After that, she can do what she wants. Most girls I know regret their first time because they gave it up stupidly. I don't regret mine because we waited a year, purposely, to make sure we had some real attachment to each other and that we weren't wasting our virginity.
