(i kid the RS, they rock)
They sound the same because record labels have figured out what the lowest common denominator wants, and that is what is produced because they are sure to make money. It's all about money - not talent. How else can one explain Britney Spears?
I think you are more likely to find real artists on independent labels, or better yet, another genre of music. Or, you can explore some older music which - after all - will be new to you.
rock music is still alive , you just have to dig deeper to find it , radio and TV are bad places to look for it ... but which band did you mean with rock ? you mean alternative ? or punkish rock , emo ...?

emo all sounds the same.
the same whining bastard over the loss of his girlfriend. 1 or 2 is nice to have on your mp3 player but anymore than that is just like a broken record.
other kinds of rock do have lots of differences..cept that numetal crap. thats starting to sound the same. jimi hendrix was really good at changing his sound but still sounding the same. i wish more people were like that. i enjoy his music the most.
Right up your alley then, eh??Quote:
