First Kiss help?

So, my boyfriend and i have been dating sine wednsday(the 28th) and we had our first real date today. He didnt kiss me. But it was our first date, so its understandable, right? Im not a first-date-kissing either. Anyways, I was talking to him tonight and the subject came up. He said he wouldnt want to kiss me until we go on 4-7 dates.

Is that a little bit long? I was thinking like 3-4.

Im his first girlfriend, and Id be his first kiss.

He was my bestfriend before we started going out for about 2+ years.

How many dates/how long should a couple go out till they kiss?
