Best Friend to Girl Friend back to Best Friend...awkward

Okay so I posted on here a few weeks ago because I was pissed and drunk, and I was looking for someone to sympathize with me which was definitely stupid. Heres the story, my best friend and I fell for each other a little over two months ago and we were so close to each other. We ended up moving to an island for the summer living together with two other friends. She decided that she wanted to be single for the summer so she wanted to go back to being just friends but I still want her to be my best friend because we were so close before and I want it to stay that way. By the way, we had the best sex that we have both have ever had so it makes it very difficult. She said we are still friends but there is so much tension and I can not get away from her because we live together. Any suggestions? Should I some how not be around her at all? Its just a really complicated situation that I want to be over and just go back to the way things were before we started screwing around.
