Thinkin' about shit....

Lately I've been thinking about the different love styles people have. One that I have read about that I don't like is called "careful".

It is described as someone who basically trys to not get emotionally attached in a relationship. Some behaviours of these careful folks are-

1. They do not give out trust it must be earned over a long period. And even then they cast doubt.

2. When hugged they do not hug back, or they do but superficially by putting the arms around with not even the slightest squeeze.

3. After sex they do not cuddle, but immediatly retreat to another ritual activity such as smoking a ciggarette.

4. They are overtly concerned by who is calling their SO on the cell phone or why their SO is coming home half an hour late.

5. They are pessimistic about the relationship lasting.

That's a type of love?

Beleive it or not it is a style of love...personally I think its stupid and if your like that you'd be better off just having one night stands or just hooking up with "friends".

I thought love involved trust? Maybe I was wrong though.

Yeah if that's what love is to you... *shudders*

In my mind, that could never be a style of love because it resembles nothing about love. That's why I say more of a "personality" style, or "dating" style.

See thats what I think too. To me this "careful" style seems more like a lack of love.

I would agree, This isn't a way of showing love, it's a way of holding back and has more to do with insecurity than it does love.
