She's finally come out of her shell

First post here. I've been reading alot of the posts over the past few months though. Anyway here it goes.

I've been dating this girl for a year and a half now and I LOVE her. We do everything together and have so much in common it's not even funny. Anyway she's always backed away from intimate things ie) making out, sex etc.

I always have to make the first move and when we did make out it was not for a very long time.

Anyway she invited me over last night and wanted me to stay the night so i did. She also invited me to sleep in her bed. Usually it was the sofa I'd have to sleep on. And she finally broke out of her shell and made the move and we had sex for the first time and I gotta say it was the best I've ever had.

My question is why did it take her so long to finally do this? :horror:

It'd help to know what age range you guys are....
But for the most part women just move a little slower when it comes to making advances. She may have been just waiting until she was certain of her feelings for you. Because afterall, we tend to attach much more emotion to sex than some men. Waiting a year and half isn't uncommon, and actually probably smart, especially depending on your ages.

I'm 22 and she is 20.

I waited a year and a half the first time that I had sex. In other relationships after that I didn't wait as long.

why did it take her so long though? girls why would you say about this?

It wasn't long for her. She just wanted to wait until she felt okay about it. Nothing any more mysterious than that. I'd guess she's very glad you waited with her. I'd also guess that, because she did take her own good time to feel okay about it, that sex with her is something you want to handle very carefully and not take at all lightly.

Cause she likes someone else but then just figured that she wont do any better then you.

Why are you questioning it? Why not just go with it and be happy she came around?
