Does it seem normal ?

Got a with woman who has had problems with a man a year ago, who hurt her and her family badly, we got intimate and now she wants to remain friends, i haven't seen her for 11 days now but we text every 3 or so days 'cos she can't afford phone calls on her mobile.
Her friend just says she needs a little time and to get past xmas etc but i'm not sure if she's playing hard to get or if she isn't ready for a relationship as she did point out. I know she likes me 'cos she got her friend to tell me.
do i just need to let this go for a month or so ?
