lil poem
I used to write a LOT of poems, perhaps I'll pick it up again sometime soon (my mindset at the moment almost begs me to put something on paper). Anyways, wrote this a while back, just after my father passed away. In that period I learnt a couple of things about myself I wouldn't have held possible. Funny how the worst things in life sometimes make you see stuff a bit clearer. Anyway, here it is, enjoy.
Deja Vu
Hail, you whom I cannot see.
Evading the laws which you decree.
Twisted paths you make me thread,
eluding mental clarity.
Murky road reveals history.
Future turns to prophecy;
far-fetched concept, philosophy.
Transitions mold me gently
Descending valley of recognition,
a wispy sense of deja-vu
Ascending the mount of definition,
a face revealed; I know you
Destination reached, crystal clear,
liquid silver made to see.
Gaze in the mirror just to find,
he whom I name you is me.
