Update on the jerk boyfriend...

It appears that he's only a jerk by accident. I finally told him over the weekend about everything that had been bothering me. ( I wouldn't have worked up the nerve to just tell him out of the blue, unfortunately, he has noticed that I'd been upset and asked me what was up.)
So we're on a break now. In all honesty, I really love him and I want to get back together with him, and thus the reason for the post. The two of us determined that we would try being just friends for a while to see if we make better friends that boyfriend/girlfriend. He has told me that he doesn't care if I go out with other people, and even said that he didn't care if I have sex with other people! (Something we haven't done since I'm waiting until marriage). The main question is, do you guys think it would completely blow my chances with him if I were to take him up on his offer of being allowed to go on dates with other people?

well i know i had sadi that to my ex girlfriend. and truthfully when she did take me up on that i was deep down pissed/upset but i did tell her she could so i got over it. S

So no i dont think it would blow your chances but it might bother him some.

Obviously it isn't going to increase the probability that we will get back together. I am more concerned with whether it will make the probability go to zero.
I guess by accident isn't really the best way to put it. It's that he wasn't intending on being a jerk, he had convinced himself that it wasn't that much of an issue to me.
