I'm at a point where i *believe* i can try to start a relationship, for the first time in my life. but i got to balance out school stuff and don't want academics and stuff to be ill-affected by a relationship. also my financial situation too, my parents are paying for college so i don't want to spend too much dough on a relationship either (don't got a job)
what are the pros and cons?
I don't know what yor budget looks like, but perhaps you can set some boundaries as to how frequently you will date ( once or twice a week?) and limit your phone contact to a couple of times per week for X amount of time, and then you can experience it all in limited amounts.
My genuine advice(having done the oppossite of this) would be to stay single for your first year of college at least. I went into college in a longterm relationship, and am still in it, but I find myself having some regrets...
Moving to college is a big change for most people. If you're really focused on your studies, then try and balance time out between studies/making new friends. Keep your dorm room door open and try and be open and welcome to meeting new people in college. The first few weeks are the most important. From what I've seen of a lot of my friends, they had a lot more fun that I did. They just focused some on school, made some good friends, and let things happen from there. You'll meet someone eventually when the time is right for you.

hmm ya judging from my workload right now, sleep, classes, study, eat, student council meeting, repeat, i don't think i have time ATM for a serious serious relationship. although i guess my target girl is in the same situation. oh well, we'll let life flow.
