can you fall in love with ANYONE?

Ive come up with what i think is a theory.
I think you can fall in love with anyone given you are both normal with no major issues and willing to make it work. I have been in 5 serious relationships and everytime i have been the one who has broken it off. I found that with time you get used to each person in a different way, used to their habbits etc and you compromise about the bad/good things. I think i loved each of them in different ways and have learnt a lot from each relationship. I do miss my ex but its only coz we spent so much time together and its hard to lose someone from your life even if it is your fault.
Either i have been in love with all of them in different ways or ive never been in love.
What do you think peeps?

I've had some great times in relationships (even serious ones) that I never loved the girl in.

ok so maybe now i should ask, What is love and when do you know you're in love?
