I've been listening to more of her stuff lately because she's so critically acclaimed and I like a few of her songs, but I can't make up my mind: Is she a muscial genius or just really eccentric and weird?

Any thoughts?

Must eccentricity and genius be mutually exclusive? Maybe she is both. One thing is certain: the swan get-up she wore to the Academy Awards that one year may have dethroned Cher as the queen of bad taste. (Not that I minded - award shows are more fun to watch when you can laugh at the celebrities.)

I'm still convinced that I could get you to like Beck. But in the mean time, what music do you listen to?

Yeah, that dress was ****ing absurd, and weird, and unnecessary. As a person she seems like a complete whack-job, I just can't decide what to make of her music
