If you honestly like her and she likes you, then there should be no problem. Who cares about what other people think? Other people can be so stupid and opininated. Plus, They aren't the ones in your relationship, you two are. If you really care what they think and really think its a problem down the line, then maybe its best the two of you don't date. But honestly, the only thing that should matter is how YOU and HER feel.
Draw some boundaries with the people who think they can make comments about your relationship- are these people friends? Family? Co-workers? Commenting on someone's age is rude. Period.
I agree. You can easily take this as a rude remark. I NEVER allow anyone to say anything mean to my girlfriend. You should talk to these people.
