Long distance Realtionship

Hi,

My name is Dana and i'm 20 years old. I met a guy on the internet for 2 years ago. We fell inlove at once and we have talked a lot trough the phone and msn, but we have not met yet. It has passed now almost 2 years and we have still not met. He was planning to come here to Sweden, but he can't now, he can't afford it becuase he is a student. We can't wait any more, we want to see eacother and see if we have something. We don't want to lose eacother, becuase we love what we have and we love eacother. And now I'm planning to go, but the thing is that he dosen't want me to go becuase he think that I should go and work for the summer so I could earn more money for the university. So he said , well we will see eacother nex year in the summer, if we can. But I can't wait for that long and so can't he. We don't want to lose eacother, I really don't know what to do, please help me. :upset:

That's a long time to wait for a relationship that may never be realised. Do you have any plan to be together permanently? Is he going to move to Sweden, or you to the U.S.? You do realise that it's kind of hard to move here unless you're marrying him, yes?

No doubt you've got strong feelings, but meanwhile you're putting your life on hold for something that keeps getting pushed back. If I were you, I'd salvage a friendship, go outside and find someone close to you who appreciates you.

It sounds like you're fully explored the limits of an online relationship. He is apparently not too eager to meet you in person- if this were a priority, he'd move Heaven and Earth to get to you.

It is what it is, and it's not enough. I think it's sweet that you love each other, but that's no reason not to move on with your life.

Wow 2 years so damm long .You should moved to sweden .Its so hard to maintain long distance relationship.I have tried once and didnt work out bete not to go for it .Anyways best of luck.

If you truly love each other, one of you should move closer to the other
