Well when you are saying goodbye to her.....just hold your arms out and move closer. Usually thats the sign for a hug.
Are you talking about a girlfriend or just a general question regarding women you date?
If the former, you can probably never hug too much. If the latter, yeah, it can be a problem. I generally wait for a woman to hug me the first time.
