I Hereby Declare You GUILTY!

Hey Love Forumers,

I made a thread a while asking help on how age difference matters on your relationships. So now you might think I'm weird for making yet again ANOTHER thread except on a different topic.

My best friend told me a couple months back in June that she might have developed a different set of feelings for me. Now I have been her friend for the whole of Junior High til now and this is the first time she confessed everything. She told me that she's starting to crush on me because I'm being too "nice" (in other words I'm actually just being like a big brother to her about all of her problems.). Well it is now almost September and I have not yet developed a relationship with her nor do I want to.
HOWEVER; last night her sister was talking to me on the phone telling me how when I so-called "rejected" her (I actually just told her WHY we couldn't be together, telling her the truth about WHY she can't start a relationship THIS early yet, etc..) and that she was REALLY upset and crying and everything afterwards.

My conscience has been brooding on me; I could not sleep happily and innocently last night. Her last words still dwell within my mind. This guilt is plaguing my every living day. So now I ask of you..am I guilty of rejecting my best friend? If so, what can I do to make her happy? If not, please explain why =)

This is why boys and girls should have same-gender best friends.

I don't think you should feel guilty; you haven't done anything wrong. I am worried she is going to attempt to pressure you into some sort of romatic relationship, though. You may have to dissolve this friendship if she can't control herself.

But Vash, she's my BEST friend of the opposite gender anyways.

Precisely.

The relationship is now off balance.

And I have little doubt it'll fix itself on its' own...if ever.
