No, a hernia is a tear in the muscle of the lower abdominal wall....it's dangerous because the small intestine can slip out through this tear and cause a blockage which can have very bad results. Only correctable with surgery.

It usually is...I knew someone who had a hernia in cross country. He decided not to run the following year. He said it was extremely painful. It can happen in both men and women. Basically the tissue that keeps your intestines bunched together tears and it could push up against stuff and cause problems.Quote:

Haha. This made me laugh (nothing against you) because my mom is/was a General Surgeon and did/does these surgeries all the time.
that's even better.. when you get a female doctor to hold your nuts.
