do these two people have an age issue?
Are you kidding? Do you really need to ask? :P
Yeah, I'd say that's an age issue. Once you get over the fact that the guy is old enough to be the girl's father, you have the issue that the guy's kids would most likely go WTF at the situation, and are also stuck with the fact that even in the best situation possible where things work out perfectly, chances are that the guy's going to die when the girl's in her sixties. He'll be in his fifties if the girl wants kids at a somewhat average age for it, and the guy's other children will /still/ go WTF. And quite possibly be a little upset with their father and not very friendly toward the girl.
All in hypothetical, of course.
I suggest the 42-year-old guy ask his daughter what she would think if he started dating someone younger than her.
Whether or not the two people have an age issue is only part of the question, here. Unless you were planning to run off to a deserted island and live as hermits, never seeing anyone from the outside world, the question of what everyone else is going to think is going to matter as well.
Btw, I have a friend whose 64-year-old father reversed his vasectomy a couple of years ago to please his 34-year-old wife. When he married her (she was 26), she said she didn't want kids. Guess she changed her mind.
Shake this man's hand! Whooaaaa!
I'm kidding! Okay :D
Do you really think that you'll be able to have a healthy relationship with this 18 year old? You really think she's going to be with you, and only you? You're at two very different stages of your life and you're both looking for different things out of a relationship.
If I was the 23 year old son, I'd try to fúck my dad's girlfriend.
YEAAAAAH!
Amen to that!Quote:

the 23 year old died in a car crash, guy hasn't seen daughter in 15 years...something about a Christian colt.
Christian cult? Oh, see cause if they are all cultists that makes a HUGE difference. I think that a 42 year old man and a 15 year old girl would fit in beautifully with some of the warped religious ideaology floating around these days.Quote:

Is this taking place in Utah by any chance?
i think your confused....he hasnt seen his daughter in 15 years (she is almost 20 now)...the women he is seeing is 18.
not utah
I'm not confused, I'm sarcastic. The person that is confused is this 42 year old man that apparently thinks its A-okay to hook up with an 18 year old girl.
18 years old? She is still a teenager - not a woman. She probably lives at home with her mom and dad still.Quote:

One word
WRONG
everyone is saying how wrong this is and whatever.
18 i believe is kinda young. id say at least until shes i her twenties.
but for the record, my parents have a 22-year age difference and they worked out just fine. my dad isn't a "sugar daddy" or my mom isnt a "gold digger" type of thing. so yeah, when my parents got married, my mom was 22 and my dad was 44. they havent divorced or anything and im not ****ed up in the head lol.
so i guess its wrong? you never know though.
