Christmas is too early!
The local shopping centers got wreathes and lights out already, and Thanksgiving hasn't even hit yet. I could understand starting right after Thanksgiving, but starting a couple days after Halloween is ridiculous.
I'll be sick of Christmas by the time it's actually Dec. 25th.

It seems to me most of the stores start prepping before Halloween. I walked into Target 2 weeks prior to Halloween and saw the Christmas stuff.
Seems like its getting earlier and earlier. I feel the same way, by the time it gets here Im burnt out!
We typically decorate the house sometime after Thanksgiving. But by golly my ass is ripping Christmas decor down the day AFTER Christmas. I cant stand the dissaray anymore.

I can't stand it, either... A two-and-a-half month long holiday. Consumerism is being shoved down our throats, and if we say so out loud, religious wack jobs call it a "war on Christmas".
-
it reminds me of my friend's situation.
he lives in germany, and his parents do not make a lot of money. he will not be able to celebrate christmas this year as his father is in the hospital because he had a heart attack and some sort of intestinal disease that they can't cure. almost makes me want to go over there and spread the christmas spirit.

*sigh..* yes.. yes.. stores over here have the xmas stuff up already too. Get over it. I don't like consumerism either. I think it's gone too far. But they wouldn't be shoving it down our throats if it weren't working on at least some of us.

when i used to work in a super market, i think the general day to start decorating was usually the day after halloween. it gets skipped altogether.
