in a situation like jenster's, and you beat your boyfriend, and he admited to it, would you think he is a whimp?
would you laugh at him?
would your respect for him decrease?

Yes, but I'm not a girl. I laugh at everyone who's asses I kick, just out of tradition.
no, no, and no
this is a question for females only. i am not interested in males' opinion on this subject.Quote:

as long as the guy is otherwise capable and competent physically, i wouldn't care if I beat him with something that I trained in and he didn't. I mean, I'd only start to worry if he was incompetent with fighting other incompetent people.
No, no, & no. But my husband is an excellent shot w/a rifle, which tends to make any martial art somewhat redundant. And I know in a quick rush (unless I was ready) he could take me down.
I think, in my deep psyche, I like the fact my husband is fundamentally stronger than I am.
yes, yes and yes.
redundant? do you mean pointless? on the side, what caliber does he shoot?
In most contests, I couldn't beat my boyfriend. If I actually succeeded in beating him in a wrestling match, it would be because I was awesome, not because he was weak.
Mmmmm, now I'm thinking about his shoulders..... yum.
I meant pointless, yes. But also redundant. Knowing a MA isn't very useful if someone fires a gun at you. Think that Indiana Jones scene...Quote:

He's best w/a .22, LW. Won competitions w/that. But also other stuff & has fond memories of an air rifle as a child. But that was in the bush where shooting chicken hawks & deer was the norm & there was the space for it and you had to drive to your next neighbour. We don't keep guns in our house, I won't allow it. I'm a 'burbs girl.
Haha, and I'm a suburban guy, but that doesn't stop me. I'm actually planning on buying a Bushmaster in a couple weeks when I go home for breakQuote:
