beating history

k well heres the thing i've been friends with this girl for at least 2 months and were both 17 and i really really like her and euhm well i allready asked her if she would ever go out with me and she said that if she didn't have so much history with this other guy and that if she could deal with her mom she would have gone out with me in a heartbeat.

and well she also told me that wouldn't be ready for a relationship

and she told me that she has 10 months of history with him and i ask how do i compete with that ?

10 months qualifies as "history"?

Is she flirtateous to any other guys currently? I would say is she does flirt, she is not interested in you. Sorry. Move on. If she doesn't flirt, maybe she is still healing. Give her time if she's worth it to you.

She probably likes the attention she is getting from you, but Giga is right. If she liked you the way you are hoping, her history with the other boy wouldn't mean a thing. Sorry my friend, but I wouldn't wait around for her. There are lots of fish in the sea.
