Freeze at the crucial moment

There's this very pretty (to me) girl who works at the school where I have just started working, in Hong Kong. She is a teacher aid, I'm a teacher...from Australia.

Anyway, I put out a few feelers...casually commenting to a local teacher I am friends with....saying I thought she was pretty. I talk to another teacher basically saying the same thing and asking if she is single. The teacher tells me to ask her right away to go out for lunch or whatever...he's so excited that I think she's pretty...all is good...I feel love for this girl...like she is so sweet...you know...I'm just smitten by her.

Anyway, I go into her staffroom to actually see her about something, for real...and I hear this voice in my head (she's smiling at me) saying to me ASK HER NOW...NOW IS THE TIME TO ASK HER.

But I froze...got what I had to see her about and just left. I FROZE BAD.

Next day I come to school and I'm paranoid that everyone is talking about the new guy 'after our teacher A.'....I'm completely tense...I plan to ask her...I go in to her staffroom....but there's too many other teachers in there and it's too quiet....I baulk again, freeze and leave.

Now there's this whole THING...where everyone knows I like her...even she has probably been told by now...and there's this whole THING where it's on my brain now and I just can't be relaxed....I was SO TENSE today....now everyone is thinking...wow this new guy is a pussy just ask her for christs sake!

and man I'm just gone....there's like I said, feels to me like this whole big thing...and man I just wanna talk to her...

There's a lunch been arranged and she's been invited for Monday...and the guy says...wear something good...ya know...and now our first kinda, non work related meeting together will be under the eyes of 10 other teachers who ALL KNOW I'm keen on her...but also all know I haven't done anythng about it myself yet.
