What's going on?

Ex and I broke up 7 months ago. We dated for nine years and lived together last nine months. I am 26 and she is 25. After she broke up with me I did all the normal stupid stuff and she would tell me get ot of my life forever, she as dating someone from work. We would talk ocassionally for a few months but then she blew up on me one day and I got all contact starting in December. This lasted until mid Jan when she started calling and checkin my voicemails. Askin me to meet for lunch and tect me how she missed me. I let this go on for a month till the end of Feb. when I decide to ask her to get a drink and then she says it is too soon. I say then what have you been doing to me the past month and a half and she doesnt answer. All she said is we should go back to no contact so I said ok and left it like that. Every week since I have recieved a random email from her about her family or something that we did when we were together. Just random emails that have no real meaning and are very weird because she said no contact again. I could see if the emails were important but they are not at all. What is going on?? What is she doing?? What should I do??

Block her emails, change your phone number.... Problem solved....

Trying to figure out where she is coming from?

Most likely trying to keep her, in your mind. Knowing if she wanted she could probably just come right back since I get the vibe you would get back into the relationship with her...

Maybe she's being spiteful?

Maybe she is just using you as a "sure thing" if her future isn't looking so bright. Either way I would say run.... Believe me, I have been down this road.

Maybe she realizes she lost a good thing in a guy like you...it just seems to me and i may be wrong with this...She's marking time is what she's doing, she's backing off and hiding out with her emotions. People like her are waiting for a bus in life that they hope never comes because they don't wanna get on it anyway because they don't wanna go anywhere...D

So should I keep my distance or should I aske her whats going on? I mean one minute it is no contact and then she contat with stupid emails.

Ask her what's going on...

I think I should but everytime I have before she says lets not speak anymore and doesnt give me an answer. A week after that i will always get an email.

I would tell her that if she wants to talk and remain friends, thats fine, but next time she blows you off and tells you she wants no contact make sure you make it clear that will NOT be communicating with her at ALL again in the future. Block her email and ignore any calls.

Seems to me like a bit of an ego thing. She wants to know you still want her and will be there at her beck and call no matter how she treats you. Don't let yourself get walked on like this my friend.

She wants to make sure she's still got you on the end of the leash. I think you should tell her she can't have it both ways. You're her ex. Maybe she's unclear about what this means, exactly (a lot of exes are).

You seem to be ridiculously easygoing about the whole thing. Doesn't it piss you off to be jerked around like this?

yeah it does suck to be messed with like this, but I dont understand what her deal is? Why if she is so happy with me out of her life does she have to keep initiating contact?

Because she's an attention whore and you are her emotional safety net. Have some self-respect and tell her to get bent.
