i think im in love with my best friend

we've been best friends for awhile now. i was like one of the guys but with a little bit of sexual tension and the occasional flirting. i never really thought anything of him before. but recently we ended up hooking up, i know so cliche. things arent the same as they used to be right now, but i feel like things are starting to look up. hes not the typical guy, hes a little bit on the reserved side. anyway, i feel like losing him made me realize my true feelings for him. i dont wanna ruin it anymore than it is, all the advice i ever get is to talk to him. i really need a guys perspective on this and i just wanna find out if the feelings are mutual. i wouldnt sacrific our friendship over it but i just need to know how i really feel and if he feels the same.

The only guy's perspective that matters here is his. You have to talk to him.

If you want him, try appealing to his sexuality.
If you think he's reserved, remember, he is still a guy. His reservations might be over the fact he wants you too.

Aww...I love these things. Frienships turned to romances are the best, in my opinion. I've had the pleasure of going from best friendship, to romance, and then an unlikely back to friendship deal. I made a lifelong friend in the process. Girl, you are in for it. There is going to be some heart-ache. but trust me, perserverance is your keyword.

So, what happened between the two of you after you hooked up? Are things looking up or are they ruined? I don't think there's enough information to give a useful advice.

If I was the guy I would appreciate it if you told me how you feel whether I felt the same or not. Then you can talk together and work out the best route.

well my bf was previously just my best friend. we were best friends for about 9months till one day we were having a discussion about emotions and he says "i love you".

so until you don't talk, you won't know.

I fell in love with my bestfriend once. I held it in because I didn't want to mess anything up. I loved her for almost a year, but after school was over I didn't have any classes with her for a whole semester so over time it faded.

I wouldn't ignore my feelings. I don't regret ignoring my feelings because to this day we are still best friends. Do what your heart tells you but in doing this remember that if it doesn't work out there is a small chance you guys will be distant and not want to talk to each other anymore. Hope this helps!
