People say that eating chocolate makes you feel happier but whenever I eat it, I tend to feel really really sad and often get tearful.
Are there any suggestions as to why this could be?

What do you think about when you eat chocolates? Do they remind you of anything? How quickly do you start to cry when you eat them? Do you cry when you eat any other food? (Especially sweet things).
Then again, what is normal?
I hate cheese ...
Who would want to be normal?
Ew.
Lol, I was going to post something about chocolate flavored condoms, but nah. Maybe you can chew that thought over with a twix.
You're probably just eating it at the wrong time. Besides, it's not the food that makes you sad, unless you're allergic or something.
If you don't feel good when you eat it, you probably just should stop eating it.
Not every little thing needs to be analyzed... I don't care how fertilizer works - I only know that it does.
you're probably eating gross chocolate. try some good chocolate.
Stop eating chocolate if it makes you sad...end of problem.
Maybe your father was a cocoa bean and you feel like your eating your long lost family and some part of you realizes this so you get depressed..
Like Vash said.., what is there to gain out of knowing why you feel this way with chocolate? Isn't it easier to just accept that this is how it makes you feel.., and to stop eating it.., rather than to try and analyze why?Quote:
