A heartfelt sad poem i wrote after she left me

This is a true poem i wrote after my partner told me she'd been unfaithful and left me :upset:.

I never thought my angel would go away
My princess she was every minute of the day
I tried my hardest to love her so much
My heart missed a beat whenever we touched
I'll never forget as she broke me the news
I felt like i'd just been battered and bruised
I was lost for words did not know what to say
Curled up in a ball please won't you stay
I held on to her hand but she slipped far away
She broke me in two on that sad day
The special bond that we once had
Had been torn apart by some other lad
That fire in her eye that i once knew
Had now dissapeared with her love for me too
But the joy she gave me leaves me in no doubt
That ember still glows will never go out
Now life has moved on i feel so alone
My family has gone theres no one at home
There's often tears in my eyes and i lie down to sleep
The memories flood back it hurts so i weep
Life's not been so good thought of ending it all
Someday that might come and so i will fall
I'll walk on for just now see what road i will take
I pray for the right one to end this heartache :upset:
