I checked it out on snopes just to make sure it was real and it is.
It's old (1969) but still a sweet story.. tonight was my first time hearing about it.
Awwwww! So cute.
I think there might have been a couple of moments where the lion had the "mmm, food" glint in its eye when it was hugging the humans.

cute! christian reminds me of a fat version of baron. baron is about that height. my sabrina jumps up on us and gives us hugs and kisses just like that lion.

I left my puppy at my ex's house for many months because I was not allowed to have pets in my apartments. I finally went over there to get some things and my dogs (had 3 :( but the ex would not allow me to get them. As I was getting back into my car to leave, my dog ran from the backyard through the gates and towards my moving car. I stopped to pick him up and away we went.

indi you know what's funny... when these guys were trying to figure out what to do w/ their 185 lb lion actors Bill Travers & Virginia McKenna stopped by the furniture store where they worked.. and they had just got done filming 'Born Free' and introduced these guys to the real life George Adamson in Kenya.

Great possibility this is fake. But I am glad if it isn't.
I recall one another case where female lion adapted a deer baby. She did not eat it, but kept it as her baby. Don't know what happened to her later though and what was the future of the baby.
