Together in Soul

This was written for my girlfriend to find once we're off to our separate colleges. We're keeping in touch, but she's still afraid I'll move away and find someone else. I used to be a good writer, until lithium took away my creativity. Let's see if it's still here.


The darkness was something I'd always known
Until you entered my world
Back then my thoughts did forever roam
Round my head they swirled

But now you're here, in this heart of mine
We'll never be apart
However far our locations may lie
Our love has yet to start

Before you shut your eyes to cry
(As I know you eventually must)
Just keep this last line of thought in mind
"I'll never betray your trust."
