Tell someone at work how i feel about them?
Hi,
I was hoping to get some opinions on what to do. I'll try and keep it as short as possible without losing any important details.
I have known this girl from work for 18 months but only in the last 4 months have we gotten to know each other well and i really like her (like i have never liked anyone else).
We sit next to each other talk regularly about things that i don't think either of us would tell just anyone, we share food together through the day, we go to lunch together almost every day with or without others, the two of us have coffee together every day and we leave at the same time at the end of most days.
The only problem is i don't know if she feels in a similar way or if she sees me as a ‘safe’ person to talk to and just a friend.
Since she is leaving in a couple of months to a different job when her contract ends i decided the other day to try and hint to her how i feel. I didn't really want to come straight out and tell her so while talking about another office worker that we both think secretly likes a friend of ours i mentioned that that situation with the other two is not the only case in the office. She didn't pickup that i was hinting at the two of us but that’s totally understandable its not a small office. So i gave a few more hints and now she knows i was referring that someone in the office likes her but she didn’t realise that i was trying to hint to her it was me.
Should i be worried that i am not even close to being on her relationship radar and thats why she didn't pickup on the fact it could be me? or could it be that since i was telling her someone likes her that she thought that if it was me who liked her that i would actually come right out and say it in plain English?.
The thing is i am certain she doesn't currently know how i feel so my convoluted plan didn’t achieve much except her telling me she has always been oblivious to who likes her etc.
So should i come out say that i like her and see what her reaction is and gamble that she still speaks to me, or should i take the hint that if she really was interested that she would have guessed it was me straight away.
