Confused and not sure what to do :\

Hey,
To begin a little information about her. She dated a guy for 4 years and was engaged with him. He broke up with her a few weeks before they were to be married, told her he didn't want to marry her or see her anymore. This was in May of this year and she is transferring to a university 2 hours from where we live...coincidentally I am transferring there in May of 09. So here's the story...

I met a girl a few weeks ago through a close friend of mine, she's a great girl and we get along great. When we hung out she showed signs that she liked me, body language, choice of words and she always wanted to hang out with me. When I was with her I could feel a connection with her, we went on a date last friday and it went great. We both laughed and smiled the entire time and just had an absolute blast together, when we got back and she was getting ready to drive home she said she wanted to hangout the next night and see me again...

However, the next day she would hardly talk to me. Prior to the date on friday she would always text me in the morning and we'd text throughout the day quite often. Needless to say we did not hang out that night because she said she wanted to spend time with her little brother...which is understandable. The next few days were the same exact thing, we would hardly talk and we didn't hang out at all so I finally asked her if she was upset with me...

She said no but she told me she was sorry for leading me on for the past few weeks, she said she did not want a relationship right now and again apologized for not telling me that to begin with...she told me that in a text. I asked her if she'd meet me and talk to me in person and she agreed, later that night we talked and she told me that she really liked me and that I was an amazing guy but she didn't want a relationship right now because she's moving to college (2 hours from here) but she kept hinting that maybe when she gets ready she would like to date me. I said I understand how she feels about wanting a relationship right now with all thats happened but I told her I liked her and wanted to be with her. She repeated what she said but said she wanted to be friends with me for now and continue talking and hanging out with me.

That is the end of the story really, that all happened tuesday night and we really haven't talked much since then. I dont know what to do, her and I connected more than I have with any other girl before and I kind of like her a pretty good amount, I'm not sure though if I can handle being just friends because I want to be with her. What does everyone think? please give me your input to help my confusion.

Err, if I got it right, she's heading off to a uni that is at a 2 hour distance, and you will be there in about half a year (may 2009)?

I don't see the problem, even if the two of you like each other alot a uni experience for her alone and a 2-hour distance from one another would be difficult to keep up. So if she said that she'd want to go ahead with it sometime in the future, wouldn't it be an option to wait until you're both going to that uni and then start dating again?

Which is why for the same reason I've denied the chances of relationships developing in the past due to living abroad, getting something started when moving to different countries in a just few months could cause more harm than help.

yeah we'll both be attending the same university next year, I'm moving there in May.
