Yeah, I hate it too. People only talk about what was the last nights party like, how much have they been drunk etc. I don't find it appealing not just because I don't have much to contribute but also because I find it actually boring. Luckily I have at least one person with who I can talk some meaningful stuff. It still sucks though, going out is quite boring.
I've been to the couple of dates now and mostly it gets boring because the opposite side doesn't know anything beyond youtube or some magazines. Except with my last date, sigh... That topic was actually quite serious and meaningful. Now I think back to it, maybe it was too serious, because it turned out to be critical amongst society and it wasn't funny or anything. I am just not good at talking about fun stuff. What do people consider fun?
Yep, I never go to parties/clubs for the sake of meeting interesting people.

This has been a bad week overall - nearly got pushed out of my home, plans don't work... My confidence in myself has been a little shattered. I'm feeling scared to go out with the guys because I have a feeling I MUST get a girl and if I don't I'll sit there doing nothing while my friends manage to get girls for themselves. So well, being inexperienced but afraid of making mistakes sucks.
Among my friends I hear stories of frequent sex activity... I feel bad with staying home alone sometimes instead of going out because I feel I'm missing out on something or I'm wasting time.
Right now I'm all alone... I won't turn to my family because they're always looking into manipulating me and making me become their "baby". I can't count on friends because, well, they won't go very far into helping me. Sometimes I have this feeling that people never liked me as a person, they always wanted to use me for their own deeds, and what hurts most, my family is among those people.
Sometimes I don't know where to find strength to live... It's damn hard. I keep trying, though.

I'm completely clueless with pop culture as I don't watch TV and tend to only see 1-2 movies a year. That doesn't mean I can't have an opinion about the theme of a show or movie. All that requires is some life experience and good thinking ability. But one needs to listen first to get the gist of the conversation.
I do this kind of thing a LOT, actually.
