its time!! im popping the question! any advice?

so....

i have decided to pop her the question. this is what i got so far.

i am getting a king suite at the marriot minneapolis city center, which is a pretty nice hotel. i am going to take her out to a theater called the guthrie, and see the christmas carols with her. the theater is a beautifle piece of archeticture and they have a very pretty belcony that hangs over the river. it is very modern and before the show, they have wine bars setup throughout the lobbies. but first off, i was going to take her out to dinner somewhere nice.(any recommendations?)

we will go see the play, then return to the hotel and order some champaign. i am not sure where will be the best place to propose. i am considering either on the belcony at the theater or back at the hotel.

but before all that.. this is the main issue. i just baught her a ring a month ago, and i was going to propose to her than, but i chickend out and failed. i know she loves the ring and she somewhat chose it as her engagment ring, but due to the process of how she received it, it is on the finger it is not suppose to be. it was farely expensive and i cannot afford to buy a new ring. i was wondering if there is a romantic way to take that ring off her finger it is ploaced on now, and put it on the finger it belongs, without her being dissapointed. i have a little speech ready to go with it;

"*****, before i met you, i barely felt the warmth of daylight. before i met you, i lived in a world where lonlyness strived. but because of you, my sun began to rise. we have experienced so many different things together, and im glad it was with you... the joyful times, but even the times of grief.
what makes us perfect for eachother is the fact that we can change for one another. you have made me a better man, and even though you are perfect in my eyes, i hope i can spend the rest of my life doing the same for you.

The speech is melodramatic ... she'll love it! :)

I would propose in private at the end of the evening. After she says "yes" just say "it's time to put this ring on its proper finger."

by the way, in time i would want to upgrade the ring and have it modified if she approves of it. i know money doesnt matter in this case, but it only seems appropriate. and thanks carl, you have been a real good advice giver. i just cant help feel that this is right.
