Bush has some reflexes. I'm impressed.
"This is a goodbye kiss from the Iraqi people, dog,"
"And This is for the widows and orphans and all those killed in Iraq."
Were the comments shouted by the journalist using Bush's face as a shoe target.
I was going to look for this, a friend mentioned. Thanks for posting.

LOL!!
Appalling, really, that someone would even do that to a world leader. Goes to show how little respect Bush has in the world.
He should just go back to his Texas ranch now. Let Obama start running things. I seriously doubt this would have happened to him.
It's George Bush. No shit people don't have respect for him.
I was surprised that the journalist wasn't suspected of lobbing shoe-bombs and killed on the spot.
:surprised Wasn't that a slow response from the Secret Service? Please tell me that Obama will have faster Secret Service people. Bullets are faster than shoes but maybe they knew no guns, etc have made it past security.
Ha. But the difference b/t Bush & Obama is that Obama would have CAUGHT the shoe & chucked it back at the guy. ;)Quote:

And if MacGyver was president he'd have caught the shoe, used it along a piece of soap and a needle to fly straight to Osama's hideout.
Nah, Obama would have caught the shoe, then sat down with the attacker, and had a discussion as to why throwing shoes is not a very diplomatic way to be heard.Quote:

I saw a clip of Bush responding to this outburst. He said, "Well the guy wanted to be on TV. He got on tv." Does our president really think that was a desperate cry for attention? Ugh.
Heh, I was listening to a the radio, and the woman was saying that they were trying to find out "why he threw the shoes". As if it's really that perplexing why somebody would do something like that to Bush.Quote:

It's like when I child throws an outburst because he didn't get what he wanted, and the psychologists try to search deeper for the answer when it's hitting them right there in the face.
Thousands of Iraqis have demanded the release of a local TV reporter who threw his shoes at US President George W Bush at a Baghdad news conference.
Crowds gathered in Baghdad's Sadr City district, calling for "hero" Muntadar al-Zaidi to be freed from custody.
Officials at the Iraqi-owned TV station, al-Baghdadiya, called for the release of their journalist, saying he was exercising freedom of expression.

Do you think this might become a standard Bush welcome in cities around the world?
