causal relationship with lots of problems

I've known this guy for 6 months. We have some problems: He is about 50 and I am 25. He lives an hour drive away from my home (I live with my family) and he works in my city so that I can only see him when he works. He is a very busy man, we see each other every 7-10 days. Everyone tells me that I have a very weird relationship with this guy but I can't help missing him and thinking of him; I fall hard for him. I tried to end this causal relationship but I couldn't do it eventally. I did ask him a few time if we are going to see each other like this, he said for now, yes; because he has to work a lot to prepare his future. (I know it sounds an excuse) We usually text or email to make the contact, no calls. I don't know how to deal with this situation, just be patient? Although I can't see any future with us, I just can't let go, at least currently.

What future is he planning? His retirement? Writing his will? LOL

Anyway, if you are uncomfortable with being in this situation, then you need to let go of this guy and find someone who is looking for the same relationship as you.

I think his future means retirement. I've tried to see someone else, but I feel like having hard time to get into them, b/c all I think of is him. I think I would be more comfortable if he sees me more, but I know I can't ask too much from him.

Well I dont think you guys are looking for the same thing. You do NOT want a casual relationship, he does. You want a more serious relationship. So as I stated before, you got to find someone else who is looking for a serious relationship. It of course is going to be hard, but you gotta do it at some point in time. You rather be sad and disappointed that you're only a casual partner?

Are you a gold digger? If so, make sure he's got lots of money and nothing inconvenient like an existing wife & kids.

Thanks for your advices. He is divorced and no child. He said he's all alone for so long due to his job. I am not gold digger for sure; but I understand all you said..and what I would do is to let go slowly....hard but have to...maybe I can stick with him until I really want a serious relationship...oh,I don't even know what I want now...
