so lately there have been some awkward moments where men just touch me. a man today (i see him once a month or so) at work gave me this long pat on my back.
then the other day a friend went up behind me and rubbed his hand down my neck.
since when is it okay to do that?

I do not like being touched and I do not like people getting within 4-5 feet of me. It's all I can do not to flinch when someone pats me on the back.

It's so funny because now whenever we watch a movie or something one of us will make a joke like "don't worry, I'm sitting on THIS end of the couch" or "let's cuddle.... oh wait, you hate human contact."
But yeah, I don't like anything more than a friendly hug or brief touch on the arm unless it's family or my best friend. That would've creeped me out, Miso.

it's very common for russians to have some sort of contact. i do too touch people more than neccessary probably. it's just a habit though. our men kiss and hug each other and put hands on each other when they talk, and so do women.
Where Misombra and I live, it's a violation of personal space.
