Continental Connection Flight 3407 from Newark, N.J exploded on impact perhaps from ice build-up on wings (that's my guess). No mayday calls from the pilot before the crash.

I have relatives and friends in Clarence. Since I didn't get a call from my parents I know they're OK though

Eek, I hate hearing about all these crashes, since I am giong to be boarding a plane soon!
I know someone who was going on business trip to that area. I hope he was not on that plane. :( Waiting until Sunday I guess.

I talked to my parents today and the crash was about 1.5 miles from my cousins house in Clarence
Not only that, but my aunt and uncle had just arrived in Buffalo airport after a trip to Florida about an hour before the crash
