he doesn't love me after a year

i have been going out with my boyfriend for about a year now. after about five months i knew i loved him so i told him. his response was he didn't feel the same way. in january we took a little break so he could figure things out. he came back and said i Was the best thing that has happened to him and he didn't want to loose me he said he thought he took me for tgranite and things would change but he said he couldn't say i love you yet because of some of his part relationships. but he reassure me that he wouldn't be with me if he didn't see a future. well 3 months later and a year into the relationship and he still hasn't said it and i don't know how he feels or where he stands. what do you think. what should i do. i have waited a while and its starting to break my heart after all i love someone who doesn't love me back

Just dont pressure him and let him decide when to tell you

He prolly loves you, but he is waiting for the right time to say it

i dont think he'd still be with you if he didnt love you but love isnt always easy to figure out. Just wait. when the time is right he'll tell you.

It's a hard thing to approach, but I think something along the lines of "we've been together a year-- I need to know how you're feeling about the relationship and about me," would work.

I know "I love you," can be a big issue for some people.. but it's been a year. You have a right to know where he stands with things. I get the "I've been hurt in the past," excuse-- it can be a legit one. However, if he's still using that as a crutch and it's been a year, I'd be concerned about it.
