To Pursue Or Not
heres a lil background to understand my situation. I lived in kentucky for 3 years from 7th to 9th grade. in that time i met a beautiful girl and me and her got to know each other more and more each year. the problem was we were never single at the same time. i moved to tennessee after 9th grade and we lost touch for awhile now that shes single we have gotten back in contact with each other and i feel that we're closer than ever. her past boyfriends were very controlling and with me she says she has "12 million times better of a time". she just broke up with her last boyfriend a few weeks ago and i just went up to see her this past weekend...we spent the whole weekend together and had a great time. we even had our first kiss this weekend, a moment ive been waiting for for 5 years...she even stayed out and waited with me until 4:30 in the morning cause i had a bad car wreck...i love this girl more than any other girl ive ever known...i feel like we have 100% chemistry...my question is should i pursue this long distance relationship...we live about 4 hours away from each other....we're both 17, im about 9 or 10 months older and we're plannin on goin to the same college.

if you love her that much, distance is not an issue, just go for it and worry about the heartache later...
-
i already have the heartache of not seeing her more than once or twice a month...shes one of those girls who cant stand to be alone...her dad left a while ago and her step-dad never talks to her...im just scared that some jackass is gonna move in on her and i'll be SOL...she told me last night that if it wasnt for me she would prolly be back with her ex taking all of the trouble he gives her...she doesnt have much self confidence and she has the worst taste in guys and they all end up treatin her like crap except for me. she also told me last night that she isnt gonna date anymore guys that live near her because they are all bad and if i stay single she will stay single....i dont know how long that will last but i've been waiting for her for 5 years, im sure i can last another year.

GO FOR IT!!! Doesnt sound like youve got but what a year left in HS? Youre going to be attending the same college-why not jump start this relationship? Four hours is NOTHING! Id give anything to be only four hours away...youve waited how many years to be with this girl-why not give it a shot? If you dont take a risk now and then how are you suppose to know? Yea theres always the chance of it not working out-but hell what if does?
GO FOR IT MAN!

Four hours kinda sucks. But it's enough to see each other on the weekends. And if you're planning on the same college, that'll be good anyway. Why not? Give it a shot I say.

we've talked about a long distance relationship before but neither of us have ever tried one. i think i would go crazy thinking about her all day but i'd be willing to try it..plus thinkin about her all day would make me want her even more...plus i dont feel so bad about not bein around her because we talk on the phone all the time....shes the only girl i know that i can be with a whole weekend, come home, call her and still have enough to talk about on the phone to make the call last nearly 3 hours...we could talk for days without a pause.

Then you just answered your own question! You can do pursue this with her-the main thing is to have TRUST and COMMUNICATION and you'll be fine. Of course you'll miss you'll miss like her like the dickens..but you always have something to look forward to-seeing her-and enjoying the time you have with her-you wont be taking advantage of eachother either-you'll take every minute you do get to spend together...
Long distance relationships are difficult-theyre hard and it can be lonely-but if you always look for the positive in it-you can do it. If you feel shes worth this-then do it!

well im going up to see her july 10th-13th....then im comin up labor day weekend....im going to try to come up sometime in between that....we'll just have to see what happens.
-
well i just got back from spending the past 5 days with her and it couldnt have gone any better.....we're now officially doin the long distance thing
-
